Abric sofa

The spirit of the Abric armchair and sofa draws its inspiration from the universal symbol of comfort, warmth and enveloping protection represented by blankets and coats. Abric is Catalan for “coat”. This inspiration is reflected in the way the horizontal seams centered on the backrest and armrests give the foam a cozy shape whose visual effect creates a sensation of warmth, as if the armchair and sofa were themselves a cozy blanket ready to welcome its user.

DESIGNER: Sylvia Ceñal

Silvia Ceñal studied technical engineering at the Public University of the Basque Country and continued her training in Groningen and Florence. After a brief period working in various studios in San Sebastian, she completed a specialization course in furniture design at the IED in Madrid.In 2015, after a few years working with the Stone Designs studio in Madrid, Silvia Ceñal set up her own design studio in San Sebastian. Since then, she has worked closely with various companies in the furniture and lighting world. Her warm designs are inspired by simple materials and cheerful colors.
