XISTERA ARMCHAIR

The Basque “Chistera”, a woven pelota basket for catching and throwing, gave its name and formal logic to this armchair. The cane shell envelops the occupant on three sides, creating an alcove. The solid wood uprights frame three distinct panels, worked using a tighter method than traditional caning. The seat is generous, set directly on the floor with no visible feet: the volume is anchored, the armchair doesn’t float, it settles. Cushions are available in 3 sizes (large dorsal, lumbar and forearm). Treated in the same value as the seat, they unify the whole. Chosen in a contrasting color, they become chromatic accents. . The Xistera is available in two backrest heights.

The Tall version isolates frankly: made for lobbies, waiting areas and high-traffic areas where privacy is a real need.

The Low version opens up the visual field while retaining the same cane side envelope, more suited to lounges where conviviality takes precedence over seclusion.
